“For consideration is the Blind Jason Lee “Schiffer” skateboard deck. This is top tier industry, rebellion dong here folks. This graphic was drawn by Sean Cliver, while employed at Powell and Peralta. Intended to be marketed as an Adam McNatt pro model. But at being canned by the skateboard manufacturing giant, stick figure artist extraordinaire took it upon himself to reappropriate the concept prior to their release. And himself put a finger in the eye of Powell and Peralta by redrawing and allowing it’s use at Blind. Where it eventually became the main graphic of their 5 pros at the time. All bearing the same main, but the particular pro’s last name.
This particular deck seems to represent a true, production run deck. Unlike the Johnson and Sanchez currently running on Ebay. Note the clean rail on those. The process to clean the rail seems wasn’t employed until a later time frame. And the deck shape for both has been used with other models. Those decks seem to, if anything, bring question as to what timeframe they were manufactured. But with those characteristics, appear to be sometime after the 1991 original run date given in those auctions. Conveniently no mention of this though.” Suck My Deck
